Driving Directions

Once you turn off Route 12 toward Jacques Cartier State Park, you are very close. You’ll pass the park and follow the road as it becomes River Road along the river.

From the West or South

Take Route 12 North to Alexandria Bay (approximately 4 miles before town). At the only stop light in Alexandria Bay, continue straight on Route 12.

Set your trip odometer and drive 22.2 miles to the turn for Jacques Cartier State Park. Turn left.

You will pass the park, and at the river this road becomes River Road. From the turn off Route 12, continue approximately 1.2 miles to the entrance of Cedar Springs Cottages on your left.

From the East (Ogdensburg / Morristown)

Take Route 37 West from Ogdensburg to Morristown (approximately 10 miles). Stay on Route 37 to the intersection with Route 12.

Take Route 12 South approximately 3 miles to the turn for Jacques Cartier State Park. Turn right.

You will pass the park, and at the river this road becomes River Road. From the turn off Route 12, continue approximately 1.2 miles to the entrance of Cedar Springs Cottages on your left.

Tip: Many guests use their phone’s GPS or online maps to get close, then follow these written directions for the last few miles along the river. If road names differ slightly between maps, look for Jacques Cartier State Park and River Road.
